Greek New Testament Texts

The New Testament in the Original Greek: Byzantine Textform 2005 is available here in PDF format.

The text of various Greek New Testament editions are provided as text files in parsed and unparsed ASCII formats. The text as provided in these files lacks capitalization, punctuation (except Antoniades 1904/1912 text) and accentuation. The unparsed combined Stephens-Scrivener text and the parsed Textus Receptus text below have Stephens' 1550 text as the main text and variants of Scrivener's 1894 text indicated as follows:

| [the main text replaced by the variant text] | [the variant text] |

In the unparsed and parsed Westcott and Hort texts variants of the Nestle-Aland 27th edition are indicated similarly. The Greek text is keyed to the Online Bible Greek font, but it can be converted to the Windows Symbol font by swapping "q" and "y" and replacing "v" with "V" by applying the replace function which is available in almost every text editor program.

In the following files the text is pre-formatted.

In the following parsed Greek New Testament texts the appropriate Strong's concordance number and a grammatical tag are attached to each Greek word. The Strong's concordance number identifies the root form pertaining to the Greek word, and the grammatical tag identifies its precise inflectional form. In the parsed Byzantine 2005 text are also included notable Byzantine textual variants, which correspond to the marginal readings of the printed edition. A description of the Strong's numbers and parsing codes used in the parsed ASCII texts is available here.
